RAPTOR BIRD SPECIES (EAGLES, HAWKS, FALCONS, KITES, OWLS) ARE HIGHLY PROTECTED AND THEIR FEATHERS ARE VALUABLE AND VERY SPECIAL TO OWN, BUT ONLY WHEN THEY INCLUDE THE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS (RECEIPT AND/OR A CERTIFICATE) ISSUED BY A LICENSED OPERATION ONLY, SUCH AS FEATHEREXCHANGE.COM. NATIVE RAPTOR FEATHERS (IN AUSTRALIA, THE UNITED STATES AND IN MANY OTHER COUNTRIES) ARE ILLEGAL TO POSSESS AND DEEMED AS WORTHLESS IF PURCHASED FROM A NON-LICENSED OPERATION OR FROM A PRIVATE PERSON THAT CANNOT PROVIDE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE RE-SELLING FEATHERS WHICH WERE ORIGINALLY ACQUIRED FROM A LICENSED OPERATION.
We acquire naturally fallen (moulted) raptor feathers from zoos and highly specialised bird keepers - which have partnered with the FeatherExchange.com. They play an important role in the conservation of these species and without them their numbers will decline. Our business is proud to be part of this great cause with a pledge to continuously support our partners financially from the profits made selling their feathers, while implementing the highest standards which only contribute to helping Raptor bird species in captivity and in the wild.
Mark's Products & Services (AKA: MP&S) T/AS: FeatherExchange.com is the world's No.1 Merchant of feathers from CITES listed Parrot, Cockatoo and Raptor species. All our feathers are naturally moulted from well looked-after birds in captivity. Being a specialist in feathers from CITES listed (and highly protected) bird species, such as Black Cockatoos for example - MP&S holds several Australian Government issued licenses to source and trade legally within Australia and internationally. It is illegal to commercially trade with these feathers within Australia or export them overseas without holding the appropriate Australian Government licensing. The laws are in place to protect these birds. MP&S offers a free support program for unlicensed customers that wish to resell their creations (including artwork) made from feathers that we supply. Please contact us for more information.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
